He’s attracted to a fellow student, Wou San-San, unaware that her twin sister, Wou Mei-Mei, is a Chinese agent. Jonas joins the Aldermaston March but is spotted as a spy and goes into hiding. Violence intrudes into rivalries both inside and outside the Chinese Embassy. Will Jonas expose traitors or will the Chinese undermine the British Trade Union movement?
