A short inspirational short story. Jimmy Johnston, a fifth grader just got a D on his homework paper. He was in trouble. But he didn't know what trouble was until he tried going down Maple Street again. Ralph and Marty lived on Maple Street, and they were older and much meaner than anyone he knew. Because he was late getting home, he took the short-cut and went down Maple Street one more time. Ralph and Marty were out in the street, and to Jimmy's surprise they were beating up a kid about his age. Jimmy had just become a witness and he had no idea what the right thing to do was.
